International Forum

It is an international program that brings together young people of different nationalities to discuss ways to achieve the sustainable development goals of the United Nations.

Objectives:

Introducing participants to the sustainable development goals

Exchanging youth experiences in the field of sustainable development

Promoting the values of tolerance and openness through rapprochement between peoples and civilizations

Increase the empowerment of Qatari youth and enhance their representation in international programmes

Promoting the tourist destination in Qatar

Promoting and developing ways to introduce youth hostels around the world

International goals:

A successful sustainable development agenda requires partnerships between governments, the private sector and civil society. These comprehensive partnerships are built on common rules, values, vision and common goals.

In reference to the topic, the Secretary-General of the United Nations stressed, in his report entitled The Road to Dignity by 2030, that the success of the sustainable development agenda depends on its ability to mobilize new actors, partnerships, supporters, and citizens of the world as a whole.

Qatar Youth Hostels are aware that youth have a vital and active role in sustainable development. They are a positive force for social change, economic growth, and technological innovation, and contribute to building peaceful, just, and inclusive societies, fighting hunger and poverty, and promoting good health and well-being.

The program represents an opportunity for them to express their opinions, solutions and innovations to achieve the sustainable development goals. We want to see a world in which all young people feel empowered, learn without fear, and acquire the skills and knowledge they need to thrive.
