In an intense competition and apple-pie-order organization, Al Aziziya ranked First in QYH Ramadan Tournament

Yesterday, a double day Futsal Tournament, organized by the Qatar Youth Hostels (QYH) Association in Al Ahli Sports Club (ASC), was concluded in Al Aziziya crowned first, Soul Riders second, and Al Itihad third, respectively.

Four teams, Soul Riders, Al Itihad, Al Aziziya and Umm Ghuwailina, were in intense competition. Day 1 had a dynamically powerful match between Soul Riders and Al Itihad, ending in 9-4 goals, and a second match between Al Aziziya, 8 goals, and Umm Ghuwailina, 4 goals. In Day 2 competition, Umm Ghuwailina triumphed Soul Riders, scoring 4 goals to a single goal in a row, while the flaming second game between Al Itihad and Al Aziziya ended for the former with 7 goals to 4 goals in a row.

According to the tournament table and the order of the competing teams in the tournament, a final, Umm Ghuwailina V. Al Itihad, was held to fill the third position, who went to Al Itihad after winning the match by penalty shootout, with a score of 3-2 goals, due to a tie by end of the scheduled match time. For setting the first and the second winners, the original match time of a flaming final between Al Aziziya and Soul Riders ended in a positive draw with 4 goals for all. Al Aziziya could attain triumph with a result of 3-2 by penalty shootout, crowned as the first winner in the tournament, and Seoul Riders as second.

“There was an intense competition between all the competitors to entertain the viewers and get the tournament to its goal. My team played well to stand out in the first position, but hard luck was a stumbling block and unfortunately they could only come third. Qatar Youth Hostels Association has exerted great efforts to organize and provide all the needs of the competing teams, which has had a good impact on the tournament”, said Abdul Aziz Al-Saadi, Al Itihad team.

“All the matches were outstanding. All the teams did their best. It was really a remarkable competition. The players were in the spirit of the game”, said Khalid Al Hammadi of Soul Riders, the second winner, expressing his deep gratitude for the QYH Association for the outstanding organization of the tournament and the endeavors of its devoted officials.

“Although all the matches experienced good play, high spirits and intense competition among the competing teams, my team could win the first position thanks to their best efforts and persistence in the tournament”, said Abdullah Al Mutawa of Al-Aziziyah, the champ of the tournament, giving his sincere thanks to the QYH Association for its dedicated endeavors to organize the tournament. Al Mutawa hopes that the coming years may have increasing numbers of teams to turn the QYH tournament into the biggest Ramadan tournament ever in Qatar.
