As part of the initiative “Explore Qatar in 144 Hours”, Qatar Youth Hostels receive a delegation from the Sultanate of Oman

As part of the implementation of its new initiative “Explore Qatar in 144 Hours”, Qatar Youth Hostels has hosted a youth delegation representing the Omani Youth Hostels Committee. It is a tourist program dedicated to all the youth of the world to visit Qatar in youth groups in coordination with the Youth Hostel Associations in these countries to spend six days to explore and discover the various tourist destinations in the country and highlight the role of Qatar in various fields.

Qatar Youth Hostels has announced that this program is part of the strategic objectives and future plan of the youth hostels management, aimed at enhancing internal tourism and highlighting Qatar’s effective role in various fields, especially as one of the most prominent features of the tourism strategy 2030 is to strengthen Qatar’s international status as a major tourist destination. In this context, a youth delegation from the Sultanate of Oman was hosted as a number of programs and visits have been implemented to various tourist destinations in various fields, where the delegation visited the Museum of Islamic Art, Musheireb Museums, Sheikh Faisal Museum, Souq Waqif, Souq Waqif Al wakrah, Rowing Ammunition, Lusail Shooting Club, Al-Zubabra Castle, Qatar Foundation, Qatar National Library, Aspire Academy, Khalifa International Stadium, Museum of the Higher Committee for Projects and Heritage, Katara Cultural Village, Al Wijdan Cultural Center, Qatar Scientific Club and a number of Commercial Complexes and Malls.

Saoud Bin Bader Abu Saidi, head of the Omani delegation, said: I am delighted to extend my thanks Qatar Youth Hostels for providing a great opportunity for Omani Youth to visit Qatar as part of the initiative “Explore Qatar in 144 Hours”. The visit was varied in many cultural, technological, sports, tourism and other fields, which highlighted Qatar as a developed country in various sectors. It also gave Omani Youth to meet the Qatari Youth to exchange discussions, cultures and information.

From his part, said the young Nasser Saif Al-Khamissani: I am very happy to go through the beautiful experience with the program, which was enriching the beautiful content and the definition of Qatar beautifully. A wonderful blend of history and technology has been embodied in a range of fascinating museums which facades are carefully studied artworks, inspired by authentic Arab Art mixed with modern architecture, besides the spirit of adventure in marine sports and youth clubs, which was also an important station for acquaintance and exchange of cultures. And because the countries are built only with their youth, I have seen this reflected in the Qatari youth hostels, who have made every effort to prepare and organize this integrated program, which varied its contents and accurately punctures the dates and empowering Qatari youth to serve and build the future.

Ms. Ahlam Al-Mkabliya said: I thank Qatari youth hostels for this good initiative that enabled me to discover new places in Qatar that I could not see before. I was very impressed with the program when we visited the sports facilities such as the Aspire Academy, the Khalifa International Stadium and the Heritage Museum. Qatar is really ready to host the 2022 World Cup, and the young people of Oman had are supporting them, she continued.

Ms. Fatima Al Ghatrifiya has expressed her pleasure to visit Qatar for the first time in this initiative launched by the Qatari youth hostels. She will also encourage her friends to visit Qatar and discover its tourist and cultural landmarks and wishes the rest of associations around the world would take this initiative as a model for application to encourage young people discover the different countries of the world and peoples ‘cultures.

It is worth mentioning that the Qatari youth hostels have a great experience in receiving delegations, organizing visits and tours, where they have previously sponsored many programs and forums, such as tours for participants in the Student Leadership Conference “TAQADUM”, the Qatar University Championship for debates in Arabic, and the Fourth International Competition for debates in Arabic and others …
