جامعة قطر وبيوت الشباب يتعاونان في خدمة المجتمع

وقعت جامعة قطر اليوم اتفاقية تعاون مع بيوت الشباب القطرية لتعزيز التعاون المشترك في مجال خدمة المجتمع المحلي وتقديم عمل مجتمعي عبر فعاليات وبرامج وأنشطة مختلفة داخل الجامعة أو خارجها.
وقع الاتفاقية عن جامعة قطر السيد عبدالله اليافعي مدير شؤون الخدمات والأنشطة الطلابية بالجامعة فيما وقعها عن بيوت الشباب القطرية السيد محمد يوسف العتبي نائب المدير التنفيذي.
ونصت الاتفاقية على تعزيز التشاور بين الطرفين في مجال تبادل الخبرات والنظم والمعلومات المتوفرة لدى كل طرف منهما خاصة في مجال التطوع بغرض الاستفادة من تجارب وخدمات الجانب الآخر والاستفادة من الملاعب والصالات لدى الجانبين وتوفير غرف للطلبة المبتعثين والوفود المشاركة في الفعاليات المختلفة في جامعة قطر بأسعار منخفضة.
كما تنص على توفير أنشطة ورحلات لطلبة جامعة قطر المبتعثين والتعاون مع الجامعة في فعاليات مختلفة بعد الاتفاق بين الطرفين على نوع الفعالية التي سيتم تقديم الدعم لها بما يتناسب مع أهدافهما.
وتضمنت الاتفاقية كذلك التعاون في تنظيم ورش عمل للطلبة المبتعثين عن القيم والعادات في قطر وإمكانية توفير خدمة الحجز في شبكة بيوت الشباب حول العالم لطلاب وطالبات الجامعة والتسويق المشترك للطرفين في المواقع والمنصات الإلكترونية لدى كل منهما.
وقال السيد عبدالله اليافعي في مؤتمر صحفي عقب التوقيع” يأتي هذا التعاون بين جامعة قطر وبيوت الشباب القطرية انطلاقا من مسؤولية الجامعة في تخريج كفاءات وطنية متميزة وقادرة على الإسهام الفعال في صناعة مستقبل أمتها ووطنها”.
وأوضح أن الاتفاقية ستوفر عددا من الأنشطة ذات الطابع الثقافي المجتمعي التي سيستفيد منها طلبة الجامعة في تقوية أواصر الصداقة والتعاون فيما بينهم من خلال الرحلات الترفيهية الداخلية والرحلات الاستكشافية الخارجية والتعرف على ثقافات وحضارات جديدة كما ستمكن طلبة الجامعة من زيارة الصالات الرياضية والملاعب التابعة لبيوت الشباب القطرية الأمر الذي سيثري الحياة الطلابية في جامعة قطر بشكل فعال.
من جانبه قال السيد محمد يوسف العتبي إن الاتفاقية ستدخل حيز التنفيذ من الآن ولمدة عامين وتمثل دعما من جامعة قطر لبيوت الشباب القطرية.. منوها بأن جامعة قطر هي الجامعة الأم في الدولة وفيها العدد الأكبر من الطلبة القطريين.
وأكد أن هذا التعاون من شأنه أن يؤدي إلى دعم المجتمع المحلي بشكل أوسع في جوانب متعلقة بالترحال وبناء القدرات ومجالات التطوع كما سيقدم لطلبة الجامعة المبتعثين إلى الخارج عددا من الخدمات من ضمنها الرحلات السياحية إلى جانب الاستفادة من خدمة الحجز في شبكة البيوت الشبابية حول العالم.

Qatar University Signs Cooperation Agreement with Qatar Youth Hostels

Qatar University signed Tuesday a cooperation agreement with Qatar Youth Hostels to promote joint cooperation in the field of community service and community work through various events, programs and activities within and outside the university.

The agreement was signed for Qatar University by Director of Services and Student Activities Abdullah Al Yafeai and for Qatar Youth Hostels by Deputy Executive Director Mohammed Yousif Al Atbi.

The agreement aims to enhance consultation between the two sides in the exchange of experiences, systems and information available to each of them, especially in the field of volunteering, for the mutual benefit from the experiences and services.

The agreement also aims to benefit from the stadiums and halls, and to provide rooms for students and delegates participating in various events at Qatar University at low prices.

It also provides for the provision of activities and trips for Qatar University students and cooperation with the University in the various events, including the organization of workshops for scholarship students about the values and customs in Qatar and the possibility of providing reservation service in the network of youth hostels around the world for students.

In a press conference following the signing of the agreement, Abdullah Al Yafeai said that the cooperation between Qatar University and Qatar Youth Hostels stems from the responsibility of the university in the graduation of outstanding national talents capable to contribute effectively to the future of the nation and homeland.

He noted that the agreement will provide a number of cultural activities which will help the students in strengthening the bonds of friendship and cooperation among them through internal leisure trips and external explorations, and in exploring new cultures and civilizations. The agreement will enable the students to visit the gyms and playgrounds that belong to Qatar Youth Hostels Which will enrich student life at Qatar University effectively.

For his part, Mohammed Yousif Al Atbi said that the agreement will come into effect from now on for two years and represents support from Qatar University for Qatar Youth hostels, noting that Qatar University is the nation’s leading university and has the largest number of Qatari students.

He underlined that this cooperation will lead to wider community support in aspects related to migration, capacity-building and volunteering. It will also offer a number of services to scholarship students abroad, including tourism trips and the use of the reservation system in the network of youth hostels around the world.
