With a train of Sports and Educational Activities, Get Ready for The QYH August Summer Program

Scheduled next August, the Qatar Youth Hostels (QYH) Association is prepared to start off its Summer Fun Has Begun Program, involving lots of distinct summer sports and cultural activities for unleashing the potential of youth during the summer for their benefit and interest in their lives.

Throughout its vision, the QYH Association is in intense pursuit of developing the aptitudes of young people through its Summer Fun Has Begun Program and introducing the most important tourist attractions to them by means of cultural tours and seminars.

“The summer activity, which will involve 20 young participants, is primarily set to create good quality friendships among its participants, along with exchanging ideas and experiences, creating interactive loops and qualifying them to be outstanding youth leaders for the service of our beloved Qatar. This program will significantly refine their expertise”, said Ahmed Al Ajami, Head of Activities Department, QYH Association. “Under the program, the participants will spend a week in the East Province of Sealine and then move to Doha. The sports activities include cycling, diving, shooting and kayaking contests. Moreover, the introductory activities of the Qatari landmarks will involve a visit to the General Electricity & Water Corporation (KAHRAMAA), where the participants will be introduced to the KAHRAMAA activities and endeavors to enhance awareness of the importance of Water and Power rationalization. Another visit is scheduled to Msheireb Museum, as well.”

The participants, according to Al Ajami, will also perform the prayer in the Imam Muhammad Ibn Abd Al-Wahhab Mosque and attend religious lectures that explain some of the religious principles and illustrate the importance of and commitment to volunteering as an overall positively impacting social exigency.

To add more, a sports camp in Simaisma, a scout camp at the Scout Marine Camp in Al Khor and a community service camp in Aspire Park are scheduled under the sports program. Participants will also pay a visit to the Oxygen Park in the Education City in order to learn about its distinctive ecological services.

The QYH Association is carrying out an important awareness and educational mission based on its vision to educate and help the youth to boost their potentials and aptitudes at all levels.
